What Tellington TTouch Means to Me.
Kona
is my 9 year old Sheppard Malamute X. .
Kona and I attended our first
TTouch Training in the Spring of 2005, and that week in Rupert, Quebec,
astounded me. I went into that first training with the hope that it
could help somewhat, but I never expected to get the improvements that
occurred. For the many months leading up to spring session, Kona had
shown growing weakness and pain in here back legs. She was having a
hard time getting up to standing position from lying down and having
great difficulty with climbing even a few steps. I noticed that her
bowl movements were becoming infrequent and increasingly strained. Hot
spots started to develop, but each summer had become more and more
chronic and serious. Even though my medical understanding of these
issues was not very comprehensive, I did see the effects of her
declining health as a whole package.
By the
end of the week long session, some of the observations I made were the
following:
b Kona had started to stand up from lying down without
wincing
b She maneuvered 5 stairs without faltering going up or down
b The last day of the session she had three bowel movements.
So as
you can imagine, I was very pleased with the results that I saw. They
actually inspired me to continue on with the Tellington TTouch Trainings
and here we are today.
